Turnitin plagiarism detection enables you to identify potential cases of plagiarism by automatically comparing student submissions to an online database of original content. You can then view Originality Reports which highlight key areas, show a breakdown of matching sources, and provide direct links to the matching content.

CU Boulder OIT has initiated an agreement with Sonic Foundry to provide discounted purchasing of Mediasite products and services, used for classroom capture for live streaming and playback. (Learn more about the Classroom Capture service.) This agreement provides discounted services to all campuses of the University of Colorado.

Availability of recordings

Recordings will typically be available for on-demand viewing within an hour after the scheduled class end time. They will remain online and available for on-demand viewing through the end of the current semester.

Upon completion of finals, recordings are moved to archival storage. Requests to retain the recorded content for a longer period of time will be considered on a case-by-case basis Call the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357 or email oithelp@colorado.edu to submit a request.

Troubleshooting microphone problems

Check the battery indicator. Make sure the microphone light is green and not amber.  If you still can’t hear yourself over the loudspeakers, call the IT Service Center.  If you hear yourself through the loud speakers, you are being recorded.  Reference the quick start guide image below for instructions on how to power on and mute the microphones (Please note: there is also a microphone quick start guide in the classroom).

Recordings automatically start and stop

Scheduled recordings start and stop automatically. Recordings usually begin two minutes before and stop two minutes after the normal class time. For example, a 10 to 10:50 a.m. class with record from 9:58 to 10:52 a.m., unless requested otherwise.
