Institutional reporting supports the university’s efforts to collect and share accurate, consistent, and relevant data, facilitating compliance with institutional policies and external reporting requirements. These activities are designed to assist in aligning data insights with the university’s strategic priorities, including areas such as admissions trends, enrollment metrics, financial aid summaries, course participation data, employee statistics, and degree completion figures.

Institutional Reporting Portfolio:

  • Compliance Reporting: Supporting the submission of accurate and consistent data to meet regulatory requirements from federal agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Education (including IPEDS), and state entities like the Colorado Department of Higher Education (SURDS).
  • External Data Exchanges: Contributing to data-sharing initiatives with external and affiliated organizations, such as the Association of American Universities Data Exchange (AAUDE) and the CU System. These efforts support benchmarking, peer comparisons, and the effective use of institutional data.
  • Internal Reporting: Ensuring that data associated with key institutional functions supports the university’s strategic priorities. This information is often synthesized into dashboards and reports that offer insights into campus-wide goals and demographics, aiding in planning and operational decision-making.
