The Data & Analytics group's mission is to foster an understanding of institutional knowledge by transforming data into actionable intelligence that supports decision-making across the university. Their offerings include department and campus-level surveys, faculty course questionnaires, as well as data collection, analysis, and visualization services.
In January 2024, Data & Analytics became a division within the The Office of Information Technology (OIT) to better support student success and meet the needs of the campus. This organizational change aims to provide a unified point of access for data and analytics, improve the security and sustainability of campus data, and accelerate progress in automation, transparency, and data governance. The integration also ensures that Data & Analytics benefits from OIT's strong foundation in IT operations.

Faculty Course Questionnaire
The Faculty Course Questionnaire (FCQ) Team within Data & Analytics (D&A) oversees the administration and analysis of FCQs across CU campuses, providing students with the opportunity to evaluate their courses and instructors. The feedback collected from these evaluations is valuable for departments and instructors, helping to enhance educational practices. FCQ results and related resources are made available online for students and faculty to access, with all processes aligned with institutional policies to ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.
Reporting
Reporting involves the collection and dissemination of accurate, consistent, and relevant data across the university to ensure compliance with both internal and external requirements. These services play a crucial role in aligning data with CU Boulder’s strategic initiatives, supporting informed decision-making while adhering to necessary regulations and standards.
Surveys
We offer survey administration, analysis, and reporting services to campus partners, gathering insights from students, employees, and alumni. Our goal is to provide valuable data that helps collaborators make informed decisions about the CU Boulder experience. In addition, we consult with campus units to enhance the effectiveness of their survey initiatives, ensuring that their efforts are aligned with best practices and institutional needs.
