Multiple UIS services remain unavailable, including MyCUInfo

Issue Resolved at 12:00 pm on 5/29/19: CU Alert: All Production Services Now Available As of 12:00 p.m. all production services have been restored. There are no outstanding issues.

Issue Update at 11:03 am on 5/29/19: System Administration Email (CU.edu) is now available. All remaining production services continue to be unavailable. UIS is working to restore remaining services and will provide more information as it becomes available.

Enterprise Database (multiple services impacted)

The production Enterprise Database (EDB) service will undergo maintenance between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. This will impact services that are dependent upon the EDB, as well as services that rely on it for logins. This maintenance is required to ensure continued database security, stability and functionality.

PlayPosit unable to access new Canvas Studio videos

Service Issue Reported on 5/9/2025 at 9:15AM: OIT is aware of an issue impacting PlayPosit users trying to create new interactive video experiences on Canvas. Videos uploaded to Canvas Studio on or after Thursday, May 8, cannot be accessed by the PlayPosit designer. Older videos on Canvas Studio are still able to be accessed. The vendor has been notified and we are working to resolve the issue. In the mean time users can upload their videos to YouTube or Vimeo, make them private, and then utilize them for PlayPosit.

TCOM/INFO Border Router Maintenance

The TCOM/INFO Border Router will undergo maintenance between 7 and 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15. This maintenance is required to replace failed hardware.

Impact

No user impact is expected, however, if you have issues with wired or wireless networks after the maintenance window, please contact the IT Service Center.

Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 11.

Impact

During the maintenance window, Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services will be unavailable (see Unavailable Services below). There will also be a delay in campus IdentiKey provisioning.

Users are Unable to Log in to Canvas

Service Restored at on 5/6/2025 at 10:43AM: After investigation, OIT confirmed that authentication issues were more widespread, impacting services including Canvas and the VPN. We have since resolved the issue and all services have returned to normal.

Service Issue Reported on 5/6/2025 at 10:33AM: Users are currently unable to log into Canvas and are met with a "failed to log in - Canvas doesn't have an account for user" message. Canvas administrators are working to identify and resolve this issue.

Wi-Fi Issues at Darley Tower

Service Restored on 5/2/25 at 4:35PM: Wi-Fi has been restored at Darley Tower and is operating normally.

Service Issue Reported on 5/2/25 at 2:27PM: Wi-Fi issues are being reported at Darley Tower. OIT is on site to investigate the cause of issue and will provide updates.
